Lowell Observatory rests just west of downtown Flagstaff at Mars Hill, where it hosts a 24-inch (0.61m) telescope now used for educational purposes- as oppose to its earlier years of research driven surveillance. Today, public educators along with those intrigued by its history can visit Lowell Observatory during the evening by joining guided tours that explore its unique setting.
