The smoke has cleared from the recent Wallow fire, but some effects still remain. Many lakes near Greer, Springerville, and St. Johns, AZ have been closed, but Pinetop, AZ hotels and lakes are still open and welcoming visitors.
Although Pinetop hotels provided temporary homes to many evacuees, there is now plenty of space available and plenty of fish to be caught in the local lakes and streams. In fact, the Arizona Game and Fish Department is stocking even more trout than usual, so this is the perfect time to take that vacation you have been looking forward to.
Eastern Arizona was definitely impacted by the Wallow fire, but Pinetop, Arizona hotels remain unscathed. There are still plenty of beautiful forests to enjoy, and our fabulous restaurants are open and ready to serve cuisine of every kind.
